Our class is a reading community and we would like you to join our reading community. We would like you to share some information with us about reading. Please share with us what the word "reading" means to you. We would like to know where your favorite place to read is. What genres of books are you planning to read this year? Who are some of your favorite authors? How much time do you spend reading each day? How much time do you think you should spend reading each day? Thank you for becoming part of our reading community.

I read under my bed. I like to read Marc brown. My favorite book to read is Arthur's underwear. I read for 15 minutes a day.
My favorite place to read is at my desk. My favorite author is Marc Brown.
My favorite author is Geronimo Stilton. My favorite place to read is my desk.
I like to read under my water bed and I like reading the story called Bengy. It is a good book.

MY FAVORITE BOOK IS CORDUROY. MY FAVORITE PART IS WHEN HE COMES TO LIFE AND WHEN HE GOT TAKING CARE OF.
My favorite place to read is in my room on a sunny day. To me READ means to look at words and READ them. I read about 20 to 35 min. at home. I don't have a favorite author. I love to read about dogs, short chapter books and dolphins.
I like Hank the Cowdog and Kevin Henkes books. I like to read at home because there are no distractions. I like to read 15 to 30 minutes a day. Reading to me means learning about things that you want to learn.
My favorite author is Judie Blume. I read for 20 minutes each day. I feel good about reading that much each day. I like to read chapter books that are fiction. Reading means a lot to me. It helps me learn.
My favorite author is E.B.White like Charlotte's Web and other books by her. I like to read in my room. I like fiction books. I read 30 minutes each day. I think I should read an hour each day.
You should read at appropriate speed. And you need character, too. Read a book at your reading level. Reading could help you learn, too. It is good on your eyes. I read for half an hour each day. I start at 8:00 and go to 8:30. I think that is a good amount of time to read each day. Reading means taking your time and sitting down and looking at the words and pictures.
I like to read in a chair. I like Dragon of the Red Dawn. I read for 20 minutes each day. I think that is an OK amount to read each day, but not that good. I think I should read 3 hours each day. Reading means reading what people wrote. I like to read Magic Tree House books.
What reading means to me is looking at words in a book and my favorite book is cowboys. I read for 2 minutes each day. I think I should read 20 to 50 minutes each day. My favorite author is Kevin Henkes.
My favoite book is the Wizard of Oz and I don't know who the author is, but my favorite part is when Dorothy melts the wicked witch of the west dies. They all say, "the wicked witch is dead." I'm going to finish the book today.
My favorite series is The Magic Tree House. My favorite book out of the Magic Tree House books are The Dragon of the Red Dawn,and Season of the Sand Storm because they have a lot of excitment. I like excitment because with out excitment The magic Tree House would be boring. Reading means to me an exciting story.
Hi it's me Kaylope. School is so good so far. Books are good for your brain it's good to know new things. And I think that I should read for 30 min. And I think that reading is important.
Hello everyone. I've enjoyed reading your comments and I am proud of everyone for reading. Keep up the good work and please send ideas for good books to read. I have been reading case law which is something I do for my job. It is very interesting. I hope everyone is on their best behavior since we have a Halloween Party coming soon. :)
Hello everyone! I'm a reading specialist and now you automatically know that I love books and I love to read. I spend most of my day reading...either to children, or myself. Through my reading, I've traveled to the Civil War and been on the battlefield with Clara Barton, the first Red Cross nurse. Reading allows me to go anywhere and be anyone. I read between 4-6 hours a day reading, mostly with children at school, but at home too, where my husband says I'm always reading. Reading gives you power to be whoever you want, wherever you want...reading leads to your destiny! Enjoy the time reading and the wide selection of quality literature available now.
